There’s a reason why IKEA is so popular, and its NOT because their products are easy to put together.

IKEA has managed to take modernist Scandinavian design and distill it into functional, thoughtful product lines.

The whole Scandinavian design adage (which has been around for over 100 years now) realizes and stays true to basic design concepts: simplicity, quality, organic, functionality. Overall, it is a design that can be paired easily with others or very much stand alone.

What I Love About IKEA

There are many things I love about IKEA, and at the top of the list is its eternal freshness and universality. Pointing back to the design concepts, it’s hard not to stay fresh when your design harnesses simplicity. Additionally, organic design and functionality will never go out of style.

Of course, outside of the actual products themselves, visiting any IKEA store is an adventure. And if there’s anything you should know about me is that I’ve never been afraid of an adventure. I could spend hours weaving in and out of the many departments at IKEA, shopping for my own home, furniture for staging, or just gathering inspiration and ideas for future projects. And don’t get me started on the food in the cafeteria!
